Coastal Uke Fest in Cohasset is a FREE ukulele festival on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 4, 2026 — featuring Armand Aromin, Anne Ku, Ken Mattsson, Clark Wanat, and Kapono Wong!
Who should come
- Complete novice, beginner, intermediate, and advanced ukulele players (workshops from 1-4:15)
- People who play uke-friendly instruments who want to jam with ukes (jam session from 1:30-4:15)
- People who love ukulele music (concert at 4:30)
- And it’s FREE!
What it’s like
- A relaxed supportive festival for people playing at all different levels
- Workshops for all levels from 1:00 to 4:15
- Concert open to the public from 4:30 to 5:30
- We’re here to make music together, listen to music together, learn together, have fun together!
Where it all happens
Set your mapping app for Carriage House Nursery School, 23 N. Main St., Cohasset. The sign out front says “Unitarian Universalist Parish House / Carriage House Nursery School.” Plenty of street parking around Cohasset Common. Evenings and Sundays you can park in the big lot behind Town Hall, right across the Common. Click for a parking map, or see below.

- A ukulele, if you have one (or we can loan you one)
- A music stand, if you use one
- A water bottle
- Something to take notes with
Precautions for respiratory viruses
You’re welcome to wear a mask at any session to help protect yourself. We’re singing indoors, so please stay home if you’re ill.

Concert
4:30 — Ken Mattsson is a multi-intrumentalist and songwriter, and coordinates the White Mountain Ukulele Retreat in June.
4:45 — Clark Wanat is a songwriter, ukulele player, and band leader, currently a ukulele principal at Berklee College of Music.
5:00 — Anne Ku is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, and a well-known ukulele teacher in the Boston area.
5:15 — Armand Aromin is a multi-instrumentalist and luthier from Providence, who has taught many uke workshops locally.
5:30 — Kapono Wong is a ukulele player and composer from Hawai’i, and a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music where he was a ukulele principal.
